Diesel & Shawn Michaels:
DON'T BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU—WE KNOW WHAT THEY THINK!

TO BE THE best, or to be the best of friends? That is the question.
That is certainly the question facing Shawn Michaels. The WWF Intercontinental champion has rebuilt his once-fractured friendship with Diesel while ascending to the position of second-best wrestler in the federation. But Michaels maintains that the most important goal in his life is to win the WWF World title.
Diesel is also facing some tough questions. His forgiving nature has allowed for the rebirth of his friendship with Michaels, and he has accomplished that without sacrificing the WWF World title. But the best in the business has held that crown for a year and seems intent on keeping it as long as possible, no matter what the cost.
With Diesel and Michaels holding the WWF's two singles belts, it is only natural for the fans and the media to clamor for another match between them. Despite the glowing words they have for each other, it is entirely possible that the two men could meet in the ring, ending the argument—and quite possibly their friendship—forever.
